Not sure this is true, as the tiny village of Bray in the UK has 7 stars (The fat Duck - 3, Waterside Inn - 3, Royal Oak - 1.

Mike, Bray has over twice the population of Yountville
great accolade - in little Jersey an island of 45 square miles just off the coast of France - population of 90,000 we have two michelin starred restaurants...ok we have a long way to go but here is one of our chefs in action...check out the seafood!
