Food Truck Corner: Was It All Just a Dream?
Remember yesterday's story on the launching of an outdoor food court of sorts in Southern California? Word now comes of some bad news for the gourmet food trucks and their denizens.
Artist and blogger Shiho Nakaza reports via email today that the vacant lot in Santa Monica that morphed into the Santa Monica Gourmet Food Truck Corner has been shut down by the City of Santa Monica over zoning regulations.
Nakaza's rough, dreamy sketch of the space in all its glory ironically captures its ultimately ephemeral fate. May it rise again . . .
