Bun, Now Out of the Oven

So, what's going on here? Why the radio silence this week at The Food Section? I 'fess up to a major case of distraction.

Last Friday morning, a new addition to the family made his appearance known. Say hello to our new son, Asher!

The Food Section will return to its regular schedule of posting soon. Until then, expect any blogging in the near time to be of an ad hoc, as-the-time-might-strike nature...

Wishing you a very happy Thanksgiving!

Hi Asher! Welcome to the food section, haha! Handsome fellow...

Congratulations! A beautiful baby, and definitely a boy! A lot for you to be thankful for this year.

Congratulations! You made a big mistake in releasing his photo, though. His career as a New York Times food critic is now doomed.

That's so great! What a wonderful reason to be away from the computer...in fact the best reason there is. Hope you get some sleep and enjoy life as it unfolds with your beautiful baby. (You may even learn to type one-handed while Asher sleeps in the other arm! We've all been there. :D )

If you can hold something up and put it down, it is called weight-lifting; if you can hold something up but can never put it down, it's called burden-bearing. Pitifully, most of people are bearing heavy burdens when they are in love.
