I think you misread the article in the link. My read is that "access" to fruits and veggies does not affect BMI - but to the extent it does affect behaviour, only a few percentage points. As long as access to fast food is apparently equal.

Agreed, CB; I read it the way you did. The operative word seemed to be 'access'. As in 'you can lead a horse blah, blah, blah'.
Unfortunately I also read into it that much more social engineering is called for...people must be forced by our tax dollars to do what the government deems right...education is simply not enough.
