Morels Come out when the conditions are right. I've got them in my field right now here in Oregon.

ari is correct although usually considered a spring treat they can be found throughout the summer when conditions are right.
If you really want a fungi hot dog for the fall try puffballs, boletes or chanterelles. Puffballs might make a better burger!!
