Honey: History and Gourmet Tasting
The 92nd Street Y (1395 Lexington Avenue) presents "Honey: History and Gourmet Tasting" led by food writer and consultant Francine Segan. The lecture will explore the history and many distinct flavors of honey. Learn to differentiate the subtle differences of a dozen types of honey, including French lavender, blueberry blossom, Hawaiian honey with tones of butterscotch and vanilla, and tulepo honey. The event will take place Wednesday, June 18, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tickets: $35/person.

New York City Food Film Festival
It's not too late to attend the Second Annual New York City Food Film Festival, which features a program of food-centric films, combined with tastings of the edibles featured on-screen.  Some of this year's films include, "This is My Cheesesteak," "Best of the Wurst," and "The Mighty Humble Blueberry." The event is taking place now through Friday, June 20th, at Water Taxi Beach (2 Borden Avenue, Long Island City). View the week's schedule for exact times and films. Admission to the event is free, and food tickets will be available on site.

Whisky Classic
Whisky lovers should head over to Morristown, New Jersey, for the 2nd Annual Whisky Classic. Over 100 whiskies from 20 distilleries will be on hand for sampling, including single malts, blends, bourbons, and even Japanese whisky. The event will take place at the Dark Horse Lounge (4 Dehart Street, Morristown, New Jersey) on Thursday, June 19th from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Tickets: $50/person.

NYS Food & Wine Festival
Head upstate for the weekend and celebrate "Made in New York." Discover food and wine products from across the Empire state, including candy and cheeses, maple syrup and other maple products, apple cider, ice cream, and, of course, local wines. The event will be held at the Clayton Park Recreational Center (Clayton, New York) on Friday June 20th through Sunday, June 22nd. Visit the site for driving directions and exact times. Admission: $5/adults, Free/children 12 and under.

Green Spirit Festival
Counter Organic Wine & Martini Bar (105 1st Avenue) is hosting its first annual Green Spirit Festival. Sample over 25 organic and eco-friendly spirits and nibble on some Counter's savory creations inspired by and made with the spirits. The event will take place on Saturday, June 21st from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tickets: $20/person.

The Bar Show
Professionals in the bar, nightclub, restaurant, and liquor store industry may want to check out the New York Bar Show, the only trade show targeted specifically to this industry. Attend seminars and workshops, visit exhibits, and check out competitions, including the flair bartending Big Apple Showdown and Sante Magazine's Cocktail Challenge. The event will take place on Sunday, June 22nd and Monday, June 23rd from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center (655 West 34th Street). Must be at least 21 years old to attend. Tickets: $40/person and up.
