Chocolate Show
The 10th anniversary edition of the annual Chocolate Show will kick off with an opening night preview and fashion show on Thursday, November 8, 6:30 to 10:30 p.m., followed by the main event from Friday, November 9, to Sunday, November 11,  at the Metropolitan Pavillion & Altman Building, 125 West 18th Street. Tickets to the opening night festivities are $200 and admission to the show is $29/day (212.307.7171).

Bacon Brunch
The Ritz-Carlton New York, Battery Park, will present a bacon-focused brunch, based on recipes from Joanna Pruess and Bob Lape's Seduced by Bacon, on Saturday, November 3, 12:00 p.m., at 2 West Street. $85/person (917.790.2525).

On Affinage
Murray's Cheese will feature a discussion (and tasting) on the evolution of affinage (cheese aging) in France and the U.S. The class takes place on Monday, November 5, 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at at Murray's Cheese, 254 Bleecker Street ($50/person).

Book Talk
Writer Anya Von Bremzen will discuss the new English Translaton of 1080 Recipes, followed by a tasting of Spanish olive oils, on Tuesday, November 6, 6:00 p.m., at Instituto Cervantes, 211-215 East 49th Street. The event is free.
