On Infant Gastronomic Training

Dsc_0028j

The Infant Gastronomic Training Program has begun in earnest, and, as can be seen above, Anya is already making excellent progress with her readings on basic dining gear and apparel (just look at the intensity of her gaze at that bib, fork, and spoon).

All of this training -- which is critical in these early stages of gastronomic development -- has demanded an extraordinary amount of time and attention. But, don't fear, The Food Section will return with its regular menu of postings after the Thanksgiving holiday. For the latest information on site updates, be sure to sign up for the TFS mailing list if you haven't already.

In the interim, an indulgence in some unabashed baby photoblogging . . . after the jump.

Good to see that Anya is taking her gastronomic training seriously. I do see that look of concentration on her face. ;-)

Her pictures are adorable. What a healthy and happy growing baby.

Best,
Paz

Love the froggy towel - how very sweet! And may I ask what book that is that the lovely Miss Anya is reading?

Posted by: tara at Dec 1, 2005 11:56:13 AM

Thanks everyone! Tara, the book is called "Black on White," by Tana Hoban. There's also a "White on Black" book too. Both books feature simple black and white images which babies are supposed to be able to read and respond to. She seems to like them. But, then again, she also can stare deeply at a floor lamp for a long time . . . we are starting to get some nice smiles out of her, though.
